HyperCPU privacy policy

HyperCPU is a macOS CPU, GPU and system metrics monitor for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It presents hardware readings in a menu-bar display and configurable dashboard, with a local telemetry relay for companion software. The readings available depend on your Mac and its permissions.

HyperCPU is distributed by east coast science, llc.

Hardware readings and local storage

HyperCPU processes hardware readings on your Mac. Its local relay can write readings, hardware details and your Mac’s hostname to local files for companion software such as Voight, subject to macOS permissions. This is local sharing between software on your Mac, not an upload to east coast science, llc.

Network access and collection

The App Store configuration enables App Sandbox and requests neither incoming nor outgoing network access. The reviewed application source has no feature that uploads readings to the developer, and no analytics or advertising tracking integration was found. Preferences are stored using macOS UserDefaults. An iCloud key-value-store entitlement is present, but no iCloud settings-sync implementation was found in the reviewed app source.
